Mrs. Loposer’s 5th‑grade science class is exploring Earth’s processes by creating detailed dioramas of fossil fuel formation. Students modeled layers of sedimentary rock with ancient sea‑creature fossils trapped beneath, then explained how heat, pressure, and long spans of time transform those remains into oil and natural gas. Some dioramas also illustrated oil rigs and extraction methods, helping the class connect the geological formation of fuels to how humans recover and use them. 

We appreciate Mrs. Lopo's commitment to creating interactive, student-centered lessons that inspire curiosity and learning.

Springer Elementary recently hosted its beloved annual event, Donuts with Dads, bringing together fathers and their children for a delightful morning. The event was filled with laughter and conversation while dads and kids shared time together. Thanks to the generous support of the PTA, attendees enjoyed tasty donuts with milk or coffee. The large turnout reflects the strong community spirit and the importance of family connection at Springer.

The Stallion Sidekicks are a fantastic new group at Springer this year! Made up of dedicated 4th and 5th graders, the Sidekicks play an important role in supporting our school community. They assist with school functions, help manage hallway traffic, and lend a hand with the arrival carline each morning to ensure a smooth and safe start to the day. Beyond these duties, the Sidekicks also contribute in other areas like the library, demonstrating leadership and school spirit. We’re proud of these young helpers who make Springer an even better place!
